Ewan Jaspan and his favourite GoPro 2 kiteboarding footage

Ewan Jaspan, he's famous now!
The release of the new GoPro HD2 has sparked some incredible movies to be released online in the past month or so - and this one from Ewan Jaspan is definitely one watch.

In what's becoming somewhat of a trend at the moment, online video's shot entirely with GoPro cameras are popping up everywhere. Call it a fad, but it's probably got something to do with the fact that the GoPro is a very capable little camera. By using a variety of camera angles it's now become quite easy to release a DVD worthy film that's sure to make any sponsor proud.

Ewan Jaspan is probably the second most famous kiteboarding kid in Australia right now (behind Keahi De Aboitiz). And he's been lucky enough to score a deal with Naish International, who supply his kiteboarding gear and ship Ewan all over the world to attend whatever competition he likes.

In this video we get to see Ewan kiteboarding in both his home town of Melbourne; and in what looks like Safety bay in Perth. Evidently he's spent the summer training hard, so hard in fact there's been rumours and comments that he's riding better than last years world kiteboarding champion Andy Yates.

He's certainly got a unique style about his riding, most of those tricks are high, powered and finished well before he's ready to land which shows off his incredible kiteboarding skill. Check out the video below, and share your thoughts in the forums.

In September 2011, KPQ moved a few blocks down the road to a newly refurbished shopfront. The move allowed the shop to expand into other watersports like stand-up paddling and wakeboarding, as well as beachwear and toys. Across the road from the store is Pelican park and Bells beach, which are the perfect locations for flying kites and practising all kinds of watersports...
