And you think the ocean is salty! Kiteboarding on salt.

Nope, that isn't snow...
When you next hear new kiteboarders complaining about how much salt water they drink out on the water, show them this...

Bruna Kajiya and Reno Romeu are two professional kiteboarders who ride for Red Bull (and a heap of other companies). But they're fast becoming known for doing crazy (and expensive) stunts which Red Bull plaster all over the internet. So this week, backed by the unlimited funds of the super force in energy drinks, the two kiters hit a giant ship in the middle of the ocean.

No, this isn't some kind of Jessica Watson story. They didn't fall asleep and hit the ship, they rode on top of it! This particular ship (well, platform) was loaded with salt, produced from nearby salt mining operations in Areia Branca, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

For such a unique surface, the duo did pretty well, even conquering a few tricks and topping it all off with a huge jump off the railing by Reno. Bruna didn't do the same jump, instead hopping off a small platform and cruising into the sunset. Cool video! Check it out below.

Opening in August 2007, Kitepower Australia Queensland, or KPQ, is the newest addition to the Kitepower chain. In September 2011, KPQ moved a few blocks down the road to a newly refurbished shopfront. The move allowed the shop to expand into other watersports like stand-up paddling and wakeboarding, as well as beachwear and toys. Across the road from the store is Pelican park and Bells beach, which are the perfect locations for flying kites and practising all kinds of watersports...
