I last left you the day before registration where it was practically 0 knots and i did knot go out only a select few aussies went out. So i decided to move into the aussie team tent to get every ones **** sorted. Each team got a tent allocated to them and ours is massive, we can have all of our gear plus fully rigged sails so pretty cool.

The next day we got to the club early as it was registration, it took me ten minutes to walk to the club only to find that to register you needed your passport, and insurance receipts so i had to walk back home and sort all of crap out. It took me all day to find my insurance papers so in the end i missed the practice race where there was 120 people on the start. The only Australian who got their **** sorted early was Patrick Vos (W.A.). I finally got to hit the water late in the arvo with Eamon Robertshaw (W.A.). We learnt our lesson do not go sail straight after putting really big stickers on your sail. The Aussie Flag and event stickers started peeling off something chronic.

Day one of racing. We got to the yacht club only to find that there was 5 knots directly offshore. The 120 men were split into two fleets of 60 each, blue and gold. Eamon Robertshaw and James Leavy were in gold fleet and the rest were in blue. After three attempts at starting the gold fleet got away, leaving the blue behind ready for there start. After two attempts at starting and a postponement the blue fleet got underway only to be stopped half way through the race. All of the men were then sent to shore to wait for the wind to clean up as there was no wind. They sent us out again only to race in 2-3 knots just so they could get some racing in. We hit the water at 10 in the morning and didn't get off the water till 6:30 at night.

Day two i felt so sore from the day before but felt much better when i got to the club cause it was quite windy reading 17knots out on the water. On the water it felt like it was 25knots cause the wind was so cold. Got to see some insane jumps before the start. Here is was it would have looked like if you could see, And these guys win races by minutes



First race i got punted off the start line but managed to battle my way back to the middle of the fleet to get a 35th. In the second race it went to black flag start where if you cross the line early in the last minute automatic disqualification. And guess what thats what happened to me. Just crossed the line like 1 second to early good news is that it gave me a good lane and i could have ended up a 17th . Oh well
