A first video of the Red Paddle 9'2" Surfstar performing well in mushy waves.

The stiff board (25psi and two lateral battens) make the board pounding like a hard SUP on the water while riding down the wave.
A bit higher rocker would help - now you need to take your surf stand quickly. On the other hand a flatter scoop is beneficial for paddling out.
Turning on the pin-tail seems going fine.
